Wife and Husband relation in Islam
Islam exhorts marriage and regards it as one of the noblest relationships, so much considered by the Prophet's Tradition (Sunah)
Islam details marriage rules and conditions, as well as the rights of both spouses, to ensure the continuity and stability of this relationship and to form a successful family in a home where children grow up in righteousness, emotional stability, and prosperity in All areas of life.
The conditions for the wife
Although Islam urges us to seek a wife who is religious and preferably Muslim, since she will be the mother who will educate our children in righteousness and good. Said the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "Marry the religious woman and you will be happy" (Al Bukhari, 4802, Muslim, 1466).
Let him be decent and chaste, since it is unlawful to marry a woman known to be promiscuous and obscene, as the Most High said. And women have been allowed to marry person who is Muslim and also religious.
Conditions relating to the husband
It is essential that the spouse be Muslim; Islam does not allow Muslim women to marry a non-Muslim regardless of religion; In the same way, Islam advises the woman to agree to marry the suitor if she fulfills these two characteristics.
Righteousness in religious principles.
Good character.
Said the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): "If a man of good spirituality and good character asks his daughter in marriage, accept it" (At-Tirmidhi 1084 and Ibn Mayah 1967).
